Is Buttock Surgery Right for Me?
Butt augmentation has many benefits, including enhancing your figure and self-confidence. They can also help clothes fit better in the event your figure is disproportionate. Most people are able to undergo the surgery successfully with positive results*.
As with any surgery, there are risks and side effects associated with buttock augmentation. Our team fully understands any potential scenarios that can arise and will discuss this with you in detail. We will also review the process, cost, and benefits in detail so you can make a sound decision on whether to move forward. Our doctor and staff will review your goals before the procedure. Together we will determine the procedure that’s right for you and Dr. Hurst will formulate a plan to achieve your desired result.
Buttock Augmentation Recovery Process
Following buttock augmentation, there will be a two-to-eight-week recovery period during which you will have to take certain steps to ensure you heal properly. We will go over the recovery process with you in detail in person, but the basics are described below.
One of the most important things to note after buttock augmentation is to avoid pressure on your behind for up to eight weeks after the procedure. Placing too much pressure on the new implants or deposits can damage them, so you will have to be mindful of how you sit, sleep, and move for a period of time.
Some tips to help you avoid pressure on your backside after buttock augmentation surgery include:
- If you can’t avoid sitting for a long period, use cushions or sit on a stool (which keeps pressure on the thighs instead of the buttocks).
- Sleep on your stomach or side as much as possible.
- Wear special tight garments to keep your buttock area compressed.
There may be some pain, but normal after most surgeries. If the pain worsens at any point during your recovery, please contact us right away for follow-up care.
