What Does the Procedure Look Like?
- Step 1 – Anesthesia: Medications are given for your comfort during the process. The choices include general anesthesia or intravenous medication. Dr. Hurst will recommend the best choice for you.
- Step 2 - The incision: This procedure is performed through small, discreet incisions. After infusing a solution of sterile liquid to minimize trauma and bleeding, a thin, hollow tube is inserted into the incisions. Fat is dislodged by the tube, then suctioned out.
- Step 3 – Results*: The new and improved you will be fully realized after the common side effects of swelling and fluid retention subside. As long as you maintain healthy habits, these results* should be permanent!
Is Liposuction Right for Me?
Liposuction may be right for you if you find that diet and exercise have been unsuccessful in sculpting your body to your satisfaction. The fulfillment you feel from the results* of liposuction should continue to improve as long as you maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. No surgery comes without a certain amount of risks. You should be fully educated on those possibilities before deciding to take this step.
